Marcie is an accomplished Professional Engineer with over ten years of experience in leadership roles within consulting, municipal, and private industry. Marcie has led multi-disciplinary project teams in technical and project management roles, delivering a range of infrastructure projects, including the design and construction of a substation and high voltage underground transmission line. She has successfully led diverse teams to effectively deliver complex projects by leveraging her strengths in relationship development and leading others to take action.

Marcie recently completed her MBA, including a capstone research project that examined the question of how an organization can lead change to improve retention of women in the profession of engineering. She has shared this research with organizations through summary reports, an industry conference presentation, and consultation with clients. Marcie is focused on improving the profession of engineering and is pursuing this goal both professionally and in her community as a volunteer. Marcie volunteers her time at elementary schools, the local university, and with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia to share her enthusiasm for engineering with students.

Marcie is currently working on a Provincial project that is focused on increasing the number of women working in the engineering and applied science sectors. The project covers different focus areas including students, educators, employers, and individuals and is being delivered through the delivery of various regional activities and events as well as the creation of a network of Champions who support the project objectives.
